Man Sentenced to Prison for Homicide of Car Guard in Punta Gorda

A resident of Punta Gorda was handed a five-year and 10-month prison sentence for the murder of a 33-year-old car guard. The incident occurred near Virgilio Square on a Tuesday.

The defendant has an extensive criminal history with a total of 16 recorded offenses. The latest conviction marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of justice for the victim’s family and community.

The victim, who lived on the streets, was a familiar figure in the area, working as a car-sitter in the Plaza Virgilio area. The tragic event took place on a Tuesday afternoon in Mar Artico and General José María Paz, where the perpetrator carried out the fatal stabbing.
