Manchester United’s Director of Football, Jason Wilcox, articulated the club’s firm commitment to a long-term strategic vision under manager Ruben Amorim, describing a plan that is both clear and adaptable.
Speaking to club media, Wilcox discussed the transfer market and the broader developmental roadmap for the Premier League giants.
He emphasized the ongoing process of “building Ruben’s spirit and developing his idea.” Wilcox noted that Amorim’s vision “is a much more flexible idea than people think.”
The club aims to “start with the end in mind,” working to understand Manchester United’s distinct game model and “put the pieces of the puzzle together.”
Wilcox acknowledged the inherent challenges of this construction phase, particularly when team performance falters. He stated that it “becomes more difficult when you lose some games because people start to question things.”
Despite such potential scrutiny, Wilcox asserted a unified direction. “Ruben, Omar, the owners, and I have a very clear idea about the direction to follow,” he concluded.
