A man in his thirties was stabbed in the neck with a knife at the Guillière Metro station in the 7th district of Lyon, France. The attack happened after the suspect had a minor encounter with the victim.
As shown in the footage from the security cameras, the victim and the attacker had a slight collision when the victim was walking down the stairs to the platform and the attacker was going up. The attacker stopped and turned around after the collision, instead of continuing up the stairs. Moments later, the attacker turned around and stabbed the victim from behind.
The incident occurred when the two individuals accidentally bumped into each other, causing their shoulders to touch slightly. The attacker then decided to confront the victim instead of continuing on his way.
It is not clear from the footage if there was any verbal exchange between the two individuals before the attack. The police started searching for the suspect after the incident, using footage from the security cameras. The suspect was eventually arrested on Wednesday.
The video of the attack was shared on the internet and went viral on social media platforms. According to reports, the attacker used a white weapon, which caused a 7-8 centimeter wound. The victim received medical attention and is not in danger. In fact, the victim was able to get into a car and ask for help shortly after the attack.
