Man Stabbed in Montevideo’s Reus Neighborhood in Critical Condition After Family Dispute

A 33-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in a family dispute on Friday afternoon in the Reus neighborhood. The attack happened on Ramón del Valle Inclán and Libres streets. The attacker was identified as the victim’s stepson-in-law. He arrived at the scene on a motorcycle with a woman, got off, and stabbed the victim several times, including a serious neck wound.

Emergency Response

The victim’s half-brother, who was nearby, quickly loaded him into a gas delivery truck and rushed him to the Spanish Hospital. The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition with multiple injuries, including a fractured skull and severe lacerations.

Investigation Underway

The attacker is fully identified, but authorities have not yet apprehended him. Police are reviewing surveillance footage to track him down. The Homicide Department is leading the investigation.
