Man City Joins Race for Six-Goal Bournemouth Star Antoine Semenyo

Antoine Semenyo’s exceptional start to the Premier League season for Bournemouth has sparked a transfer race among England’s top clubs, with reigning champions Manchester City now reportedly entering the fray.

The Ghanaian forward has emerged as one of the league’s standout players, registering six goals and three assists. This places him as the third-highest scorer in the Premier League.

Manchester City joins a list of elite teams, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham, who were previously close to securing the 25-year-old international.

Semenyo acknowledged the transfer speculation earlier this month. He stated, “I’m enjoying playing here. Of course, I see the news, but I try to stay focused, and what happens, happens.”

Bournemouth General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko indicated the club’s realistic view on potential departures. He told English media, “If a team that competes in the Champions League shows interest, who are we to stop them?”

Semenyo was one of the players retained during squad changes under coach Andoni Iraola over the summer, despite prior interest from other clubs.

Should a transfer materialize, it would mark another significant deal facilitated by Bournemouth’s sporting director, Tiago Pinto.
