Mallorca want to sign a 15 million Betis player

The transfer market continues to surprise with unexpected twists and this time the focus is on CA Osasuna, who are showing a clear interest in signing right winger Aitor Ruibal, who is currently at Real Betis. The signs suggest that manager Manuel Pellegrini has made a decision about the player’s future, thereby opening the door to a possible exit that has caught the attention of several clubs including Osasuna.

Aitor Ruibal is on Pellegrini’s list despite playing minutes last season. The player has already grown accustomed to the thought that his time at Benito Villamarín is coming to an end, at least for this season. With a contract running until 2025 and a base value of €5m, Ruibal could be on his way to a new adventure with Osasuna as the main contender for his signing.

The Navarrese team, led by Javier Aguirre, are eyeing Ruibal as a possible replacement for Kang in Lee or as a strategic addition to the tactical scheme. The Mexico coach’s confidence in the former Leganés player’s abilities is palpable and his versatility could be a valuable asset to the side.

Although the figures have not yet been released, sources close to CA Osasuna believe the offer could be around €5m, an amount that would reflect Ruibal’s current market value and his remaining contract with Betis. Should that offer go through, Betis sporting director Ramón Planes could find a clear way to go through with the transfer.

However, Osasuna is not the only contender for Aitor Ruibal. Other teams such as UD Almería and Valencia CF are also exploring the possibility of signing him. Although Valencia could face financial challenges, competition is still a factor to be reckoned with.

Osasuna sporting director Pablo Ortells is working hard to advance negotiations and ensure Aitor Ruibal’s arrival as soon as possible. Aiming to have Ruibal in full shape for the first official game of the season against UD Las Palmas in Gran Canaria on August 12, Aguirre is looking to consolidate his team and lead them to a successful season.
