Birmingham, England – The 2024/2025 season for Real Mallorca kicked off with a convincing 3-1 win against Crewe Alexandra in the Aston Villa FC Training Ground in Birmingham. The training camp at Bodymoor Heath, near Villa Park, is expected to last until July 27.

Defender Pau Torres, a regular at Aston Villa FC, made a surprise appearance at the training ground to support his friend and teammate, Toni Lato. The pair have a close bond, and Torres’ presence at the training ground was a welcomed addition for the Mallorcan team.
Toni Lato Thrilled with First Test Match
Real Mallorca full-back Toni Lato was jubilant after the match, praising his team’s effort and teamwork. "I’m happy. We’re working to give what the coach asks for and to compete and get into the rhythm needed for the league. We’ve had good feelings and we have to keep pushing," Lato said in a post-match interview.
The victory was Mallorca’s first test under coach Jaume Escobar’s regime, and the team will play at least two more matches during their week-long training camp at Bodymoor Heath.
