Makkah: A major decision regarding the ban on entry

Foreigners were barred from entering Makkah without permission.

According to Saudi media, the ban on foreigners entering Mecca without a permit has been implemented from today.

The Saudi Department of Peace says that in addition to Umrah and Hajj, a work permit or passport has been issued from Mecca for entry.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Sami al-Schwartz said foreigners trying to enter the holy city without permission would be deported.

He clarified that only those foreigners will be allowed to enter Makkah who have a permit issued by the relevant institutions in addition to the Umrah or Hajj permits, whether they are employed in Makkah or their residence in Makkah. Passport issued by the department.
