Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce has cracked down on an electronic shopping center in the kingdom and has also issued a warning for other centers.

According to Arab media reports, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce refunded 500,000 riyals to customers of the e-mall, which was reluctant to deliver stationary products to its customers.

The report said that consumers had filed a report against the electronic shopping center with the Ministry of Commerce, after which the concerned administration investigated the incident.

During the investigation, the ministry determined that the consumers were correct and took action against the center. Afterwards, 256,427 riyals were returned to customers from the electronic shopping center, while the remaining amount will be paid soon.

The Saudi Arabian Commerce Ministry has assured that it is monitoring the activities of the electronic shopping center to protect the rights of consumers and will take similar measures in the future.

The ministry has warned that legal action will be taken against the e-mall for violating e-commerce and failing to deliver on promises made to consumers.
