Major developments in case of secret document recovered from Joe Biden’s home, office

Washington: The US Department of Justice has rejected a request by the House of Representatives Oversight and Accountability Committee to provide details about “classified documents” found in Joe Biden’s home and office.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee, a branch of Congress that appointed a special prosecutor in the case, has rejected a request by the House Oversight and Accountability Committee to provide information about the findings and details of the investigation.

In response to a Republican-led committee’s request, the Justice Department said it could not provide detailed information to Congress because the special prosecutor’s ongoing investigation includes information that cannot be made public.

Department officials have said the issue is of a nature to influence future decisions, and is to share as much information with Congress as possible without jeopardizing the transparency of the investigation.
