Major decision of Saudi government against those who perform Hajj without permission

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has announced a fine of 10,000 riyals (6 2,665) for performing Hajj without a permit.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the spokesman of the Public Security Department, Sami Al-Shorikh, said that those who wish to perform Hajj in the kingdom should perform their religious duty after obtaining permission from the relevant institution.

He said that a fine of 10,000 riyals would be imposed on those who tried to perform Hajj without permission.

According to the spokesperson, security forces will be deployed inside and around the holy places during the Hajj season to enforce the rules and regulations.

He said security forces have so far arrested 19 people on charges of making fake advertisements related to Hajj. Officials say that through advertisements, these people cheated the pilgrims by offering sacrifices and transportation.
