Maggie Baugh Leaves Keith Urban Tour to Pursue Solo Career, Romance Rumors Swirl

Maggie Baugh has stepped away from Keith Urban’s “High and Alive” world tour. This decision comes as Urban navigates his divorce from actress Nicole Kidman.

Baugh’s absence has fueled online speculation regarding a potential romance between the two musicians. Rumors intensified in September, following the announcement of Urban and Kidman’s separation.

Videos from past concerts showed Urban seemingly altering the lyrics of his song “The Fighter.” The track, originally a tribute to Kidman, appeared to be modified to reference Baugh during performances.

Baugh’s father publicly addressed the rumors on Facebook. His post concisely stated, “NO. Simply no.”

Baugh herself has not directly commented on the speculation. However, previous remarks from a 2017 interview have recirculated. In that conversation, Baugh discussed her personal rule against dating fellow band members, citing potential complications.

Urban has also refrained from publicly addressing the online gossip about his relationship with Baugh.

Since Kidman filed for divorce, Urban has removed “The Fighter” from his concert setlist. Baugh also did not perform with him at his initial concert after the divorce filing.

Concurrent with her departure from Urban’s tour, Baugh has launched new solo material. She released her latest song, “The Devil Win,” on October 10.

Baugh shared a preview of the track on Instagram on October 9. The song’s lyrics discuss battling internal “feelings.” The 25-year-old artist sang, “I don’t know what the heck I believe / Don’t know how to heal my soul / Or how to fight this feeling and it’s a mighty good place to go / No matter how close I am to the burning edge / Tempting as it is, I won’t let the devil win.”

Baugh is set to miss Urban’s upcoming Nashville concert. Another band member will fill her position at the Bridgestone Arena show on October 17.

On the same date, Baugh will headline her own show in Carmel, Indiana. This is part of her independent touring schedule.

Baugh has several solo appearances scheduled throughout October and November. These include a performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on October 15. She is also slated to play in West Palm Beach, Florida, on October 24.

Additionally, Baugh will participate in the Country Cruisin’ 2025 event. This five-day cruise aboard the Celebrity Summit runs from October 27 to November 1.

The future of Baugh’s involvement with Urban’s tour remains unconfirmed. Neither Baugh nor Urban has publicly stated if she will rejoin.

However, a report from TMZ suggests there are no immediate plans for Baugh to return to the “High and Alive” tour. TMZ noted that Baugh is not considered a core member of Urban’s band; Natalie Stovall holds that primary role.

Baugh originally joined Urban’s touring band in 2024. This invitation followed a joint performance at the CMT Music Awards.
