Maduro thanks “unconditional strength” of brother countries on Friendship Day

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, thanked this Saturday for the support and "unconditional force" of countries "brothers"regarding the celebration of the International Friendship Day.

"We build a new world of peace, cooperation and dialogue, through ties of friendship, uniting flags of struggle to face the circumstances. Venezuela embraces and appreciates the support and unconditional strength of brother peoples"expressed the president through his Twitter account.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Faría, cited Maduro’s comment, on the same social network, and considered that the friendship "is the most genuine symbol of solidarity between peoples".

"Let’s celebrate International Friendship Day convinced that we will continue to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation with the countries that are betting on a new multipolar and multicentric world"indicated the Venezuelan foreign minister.

The Government of Venezuela has always defended the multipolarity of politics, especially in the last six years, when it began to receive international economic sanctions from countries such as the United States, Canada and some of the European Union (EU), which have pointed to its actions as undemocratic.

The General Assembly of the United Nations designated this event in 2011 with the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and people can inspire peace initiatives and presents an opportunity to build bridges between communities.
