Maduro accuses Duque of planning terrorist attacks against Venezuela

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has accused the president of Colombia, Iván Duque, of planning "terrorist attacks" against Venezuelan public officials and has assured that it has the evidence "in the hand".

Duke "continues to activate terrorist plans and attacks against the electric systempersonalities and Venezuelan political leaders"Maduro stated during his speech on public television VTV.

In May Maduro already pointed out to Duque for attacks against the country’s refineries and electrical system and this Saturday he has insisted that "Refineries are being targeted by attacks from infiltrated enemies, hidden enemies, to harm our refiner complexes, to harm our people.".

"Behind that is the right. I report. The wild right, the sell-out right. Behind that are the plans of Iván Duque"who "in his impotence, his hatred and his defeat (…) he wants to take revenge on Venezuela""he has stated.

Also on Twitter, Maduro has warned that "from Colombia attacks are planned against the National Electric System and against personalities of the Bolivarian Government". "High Alert! Let us defeat the threats that the outgoing government of Colombia intends against our Homeland"has raised.

Thus, he has called on the Venezuelan military forces to show the "love for the country" already have "the active guard" in defense of the country and its citizens.

"Venezuela has taken the path of recovery; it is rising step by step and our FANB was at the side of the people in the hardest years, from the creak of social and economic resistance"he has argued.
