Mads Pedersen Reclaims Pink Jersey in Giro d’Italia Stage 3 Sprint Victory

Mads Pedersen took the lead in the Giro 108 after a thrilling sprint finish on Sunday. The 29-year-old Danish cyclist from Lidl-Trek crossed the line first, beating Corbin Strong and Orluis Aular.

The 160 km stage, which took place in Vlorë, Albania, ended with Pedersen finishing in 3:49:47 hours. He took the pink jersey back from Primoz Roglic, who led the race the day before. Roglic, the 2023 Giro winner, is now 9 seconds behind Pedersen in the overall standings.

The bonus time Pedersen received for winning the stage helped him regain the top spot. The peloton will head to Italy for the next stage, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
