Madrid: A parcel bomb exploded in the Ukrainian embassy

A parcel bomb exploded in the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid, the capital of Spain.

According to foreign media reports, a parcel bomb has exploded in the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid, as a result of which one person has been injured.

Ukraine confirmed the incident in Madrid, saying that the explosion occurred around 1:00 p.m. when a member of the embassy staff was trying to open a letter when it exploded.

Diplomatic officials said that one person was injured in the blast, who suffered minor injuries and has been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It is being suggested that the envelope was meant to be given to Ambassador Serhiy Pohorletsev.

According to foreign media reports, the explosive-laden letter arrived at the embassy through regular mail and was not scanned.

On the other hand, after the parcel bombing in the embassy in Madrid, Ukraine has increased the security of its consulates abroad.
