Actress Madalsa Sharma has revealed challenging experiences in the South Indian film industry. These encounters led her to exit the industry at a young age.
The star, widely recognized for her role in the television series ‘Anupama,’ disclosed these details in a recent interview with Pinkvilla. She stated that not a single experience she had there was pleasant.
Sharma added that such an environment made her realize she could not continue on that path. She ultimately decided to leave the industry.
She specifically cited issues like “casting couch and all that.” While she believes this problem exists universally, she found it particularly disheartening in the South.
Sharma recalled an uncomfortable conversation when she was only 17 years old. This interaction made her feel uneasy, prompting her immediate departure.
She decided to return to Mumbai following the incident. “I just walked out, and I told myself, ‘Let’s go back to Bombay now,'” she recounted.
Beyond her career choices, Sharma also shared her personal philosophy on ambition. She emphasized that while ambition is important, she does not allow it to control her decisions.
Her choices are based on a clear understanding of what she desires, what she does not, and the specific terms under which she will pursue her goals.
Madalsa Sharma made her acting debut in 2009 with the Telugu film ‘Fitting Master.’ She later appeared in several other South Indian films.
She gained widespread fame through her role in the popular show ‘Anupama,’ which she has since left. Sharma was most recently seen in the film ‘The Bengal Files.’
Sharma is married to Mimoh Chakraborty, making her the daughter-in-law of veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty.
