Apple fans are getting ready for a wave of new hardware. A well-known reporter, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, says that a fresh batch of MacBook Pro laptops will start being made in large numbers very soon. This news gives us a peek into Apple’s future plans.
Gurman shared his insights in his “Power On” newsletter. He believes these new MacBook Pro models will hit stores between late 2025 and the first few months of 2026. The absolute latest we should see them is March 2026. Apple usually rolls out new Mac devices in October. However, both Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo, another respected Apple analyst with connections to manufacturing, agree. They think the new MacBook Pro will appear no earlier than early 2026. This timing makes sense, as Apple last launched MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in January 2023.

The upcoming MacBook Pro is expected to come in 14-inch and 15-inch screen sizes. These models will run on the M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max chips. So far, there haven’t been any details about major upgrades to other specifications.
It seems Apple has even bigger plans for later. MacRumors added to the report, saying that another MacBook Pro model will launch in late 2026. This one will bring four major upgrades:
- It will be the first Mac with an improved OLED screen. This means better contrast.
- It will also be the first Mac to feature a touchscreen display.
- The device will have a thinner body design.
- It will use the M6, M6 Pro, and M6 Max chips. These chips will be made with TSMC’s newest 2-nanometer technology.
Apple appears to have a busy schedule ahead. Several other devices are also said to be on the way:
- Vision Pro with M5 chip: Late 2026
- iPad Pro with M5 chip: Late 2026
- MacBook Air with M5 chip: Early 2026
- Revamped Studio Display: Early 2026
- iPhone 17e: First half of 2026
- New affordable iPad: First half of 2026
- New iPad Air: First half of 2026
