MacBook Pro M1X: ProMotion mini-LED screen, 1080p webcam … a leak swings everything

According to its information, Apple has decided to increase the amount of RAM and internal storage integrated by default in its MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro M1X would therefore benefit from 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. Currently, 13-inch MacBook Pros boot at 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This is a logical evolution for machines reserved for professionals.

Above all, the range would distinguish itself from previous MacBook Pros thanks to a mini-LED screen similar to that of the latest iPad Pro. According to information from Ross Young, CEO of analysis firm Display Supply Chain Consultants and a reputable source in the tech community, Apple is banking on a 120 Hz ProMotion screen on MacBook Pros. The man has repeatedly confirmed the news on Twitter.

The borders surrounding the screen would be much thinner than on current models. For the first time, Apple would integrate a 1080p webcam. For many years, the brand has confined itself to placing a 720p webcam on its computers. Finally, Dylandk says Apple will include a new AC charger with MacBooks.

On the price side, the leaker ensures that the price of the 16-inch MacBook Pro M1X will be very close to that of the model with a 14-inch screen.
