Macario Martínez, just 24, is living a real-life dream. Not long ago, he cleaned streets in Mexico City. Now, he’s a rising music star. He has played on some of the world’s most famous stages. His recent show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles was a big moment. He also performed for thousands at an NFL game. These shows confirmed him as a fresh, inspiring voice in Mexican music.
Macario looks confident on stage, but he feels the pressure. In an exclusive chat with a prominent entertainment outlet, he shared that nerves are a huge part of it. "I always feel it in my chest," he explained. "It’s like electricity running through my whole body. It’s very similar to love, like I’m falling in love right then."
The Magic of the Hollywood Bowl
Macario remembers his Hollywood Bowl performance well. Many music legends have played there. "Inside, there’s a photo of The Beatles," he said with a smile. "Paul McCartney stands in the exact spot where I sang. When I realized that, I got so excited. To think someone I admire so much was there, and I could also share feelings from that place, felt magical."
Before his performance, he felt nervous. He took a moment to look at the moon and mountains around the amphitheater. This quiet moment helped him find peace. He then gave his all to the audience. "It was beautiful," he shared. "It helped me walk out feeling calm and happy."

Facing Thousands at the NFL
The day before, Macario faced another huge test. He sang at SoFi Stadium during an NFL game. "I had never been in front of so many people," he remembered. "There were about 70,000. At first, stage fright took over." But he wasn’t alone. The Mariachi Rams joined him. They helped him turn his fear into power. "They made a beautiful arrangement of my song Sueña lindo, corazón," he said. "They helped me feel more confident. It was my first time singing with mariachi, and it was truly unforgettable."

From Sweeper to Singer-Songwriter
For Macario, keeping his cool means remembering his loved ones. "I think of my mom, my girlfriend, my friends, and my band," he explained. "I carry them in my heart, and that makes me feel less alone." He also carries a special charm. It’s a butterfly his mother gave him before his Los Angeles trip. "It’s not a jewel or anything expensive," he stated, "but it reminds me who I am and gives me confidence. It’s my compass."
His story touched millions in 2024. A video of him went viral. It showed how much he pushed forward. Before music, he worked in gardening and fast food. He also worked for the Mexico City cleaning service. But he never stopped dreaming of music. He recorded homemade songs and shared them with friends. Then, suddenly, everything changed.
Today, those very compositions are taking him to stages around the world.
Coming Soon: A Tour and New Music
Macario is now getting ready for a tour across the United States. It kicks off on October 1 in New York. The 16-date tour includes stops in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, and Dallas. He will also visit Mexico City, Spain, London, and Paris.
His performances promise an intimate show. He will mix guitar, jarana, and zapateado. He even uses a "telephone" microphone for cool sound effects.
Macario also shared exciting news about new music. He will release a new album with more than 14 songs. And this month, he plans to drop a brand-new track. He says it will be full of nostalgia.
"I’m very excited about what’s coming next," he shared. "Every concert is a chance to make friends in different parts of the world." He admits the nerves never fully go away. But he has learned to see them as part of his journey. "It’s a beautiful process," he noted. "It reminds me I’m alive, that I’m living a dream."
With his feet on the stage and his heart guided by his support system, Macario Martínez is ready for every step of his amazing rise.
