The application of industrial silicone and PMMA to her buttocks ended up being deadly for Lygia Fazio. The Brazilian influencer, model and journalist died this Thursday at the age of 40, after she suffered a stroke a month ago related to the use of polymer in her body.
The death was announced by his brother, in charge of updating his state of health since his hospitalization a month ago. Lygia leaves two children, Thor and Davi.
According to a friend, the “time bomb” was the use of “industrial silicone mixed with PMMA” (a thermoplastic polymer), reported the portal of the O Globo newspaper in Brazil.
“Unfortunately our warrior has passed away. Thanks again for all the support,” George wrote.
George had been using his sister’s social network to give updates on her health since her hospitalization, at the time of her stroke.
Following the stroke, George wrote that Lygia was “under intensive medical care. She is conscious and responding very well to treatments. Will respond to all messages as soon as possible.”
She also let her friends know when she was released from the ICU and was treated in the semi-intensive care unit.
Last week, he wrote that his sister was allowed to receive visits from close friends.
The model’s friends used social networks to cry and demonstrate for the death of Lygia.
“How long are these murderous doctors going to give people PPMA? That’s a crime. It has to be banned. Rest in peace, Lygia,” wrote presenter Flávia Noronha.

In 2022, Lygia was a candidate for State Deputy in São Paulo for the PP (Progressive Party) in the elections and is currently on the list of substitutes.
