Luis Liberato hits two triples as the Giants beat the Eagles 7-3

Luis Liberato fired a couple of triples and Erik González produced another to be key in the victory of the Giants with a score of 7-3 over the Eagles, in a clash that took place at the Julián Javier stadium.

Both led the attack of twelve hits that the Northeasters had in what was their second consecutive victory and with the same victory they matched the Aguilas, both teams with a 3-3 record.

With his hits, Liberato drove in a round, while Yamaico Navarro also produced two hits and drove in a couple of rounds; Starlin Castro continued his great offense and hit a trio of hits.

The Giants attacked Yunesky Maya, who scored a trio of runs in the second inning, in what was one of the poorest performances for the veteran Mamey pitcher.

The francomacorisanos linked their hits very well in that third inning, in which Navarro and Castro pushed one round each.

González also fired two hits and has had a magnificent performance with the Nordestanos. Maya left the mound after 2.0 innings in which he allowed three hits, and as many runs, just fanned out one.

While his rival Pedro Fernández remained in the box for 4.1 episodes and the relief of the Giants was phenomenal.

Joe Hudson in the fourth and Zoilo Almonte in the eighth hit solo homers for the Cibaeños.
