Luguelín Santos wins the 400 meters in Madrid with a mark of 45.09

The Dominican Luguelín Santos, with a time of 45.09, won the 400-meter test at the Madrid meeting, which was held this Saturday at the Vallehermoso stadium.

Luguelín Santos, Olympic runner-up in 2012, who has his best time with 44.11, registered in Madrid 45.09, his best time of the season, in a final sprint in which he beat Irishman Christopher O’Donnell.

The Dominican athlete competed in Madrid just two days after competing in the Diamond League in Oslo, where he finished seventh.

The best Spaniard was Iñaki Canal, fourth with 46:08, and Oscar Husillos, the second fastest Spaniard in history (44.73), was fifth in Vallehermoso with 46.29.
