Lucas Lopes, a 22-year-old rider from Póvoa de Varzim, has won the 32nd Volta a Portugal do Futuro. He took the top spot on the general classification on the second day and held on to it, finishing 26th in the final stage.
The last stage was 153.5 kilometers long, starting in Ansião and ending at Praia do Pedrógão. Oscar Fuentes from Cortizo won this stage, finishing five seconds ahead of Alvaro Navas from Óbidos Cycling Team and João Martins from Rádio Popular-Paredes-Boavista.
General Classification
Lucas Lopes finished 49 seconds ahead of Diogo Pinto from Credibom-LA Alumínios-Marcos Car, who came in second. Tiago Santos from Anicolor-Tien 21 took third place, a minute and two seconds behind Lopes.
Lopes also won the blue jersey for the mountain classification. Other winners include:
- João Martins, who took the points classification
- Tiago Santos, who won the youth classification
- Cortizo, the team that topped the team classification
