LTA Sul: Brazilian Playing Like a Korean? paiN Gaming’s Cariok Impresses Experts

The esports team paiN Gaming (PNG) recently released a video about their last League of Legends match in the League of The Americas (LTA Sul). Former pro player Gabriel “Tockers” Claumann reacted to the video, praising one of PNG’s players.

Tockers’ Reaction

Tockers, now a streamer, was part of the legendary Exódia team that won three Brazilian League of Legends championships (CBLOL). In a 15-minute video, he reacted to PNG’s content, focusing on the team’s jungler, Marcos “Cariok” Oliveira. Tockers compared Cariok’s dominant phase to Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski’s prime, questioning whether PNG’s performance relies heavily on Cariok.

Tockers said, “I need to see him internationally, urgently.” He referenced Cariok’s disappointing performance at Worlds 2024. Some viewers noted a similarity between Cariok and former LOUD jungler Park “Croc” Jong-hoon. Tockers concluded that only Gabriel “Revolta” Cresci achieved a similar level of gameplay with consecutive wins.

The video has sparked discussion among fans about PNG’s strengths and weaknesses. As Tockers put it, “This is the new Cariok” – implying that the team’s current performance might be the new standard. The question remains: will PNG maintain this level if Cariok’s performance drops?
