Brennon Lemieux, a former contestant on Love Is Blind season 3, has filed for divorce from his wife, Alexa Lemieux. Us Weekly confirmed the filing.
Lemieux, 35, submitted his petition in November. He alleged that their marriage had become “unsustainable.”
His filing cited "personality conflicts" as the reason for the breakdown. These conflicts prevent any "reasonable expectation of reconciliation."
Brennon also requested to retain the assets he possessed before their marriage.
Alexa, 31, publicly announced their separation on Wednesday, December 3. She has not yet filed a response to Brennon’s petition.
“After much reflection and many honest conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” Alexa wrote on Instagram. “This decision was not made lightly and comes with much love, respect, and appreciation for the time we have shared.”
She emphasized that both she and Brennon are focused on co-parenting their daughter, Vienna. Vienna was born in July 2024.
“We began this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth each achieved along the way,” her statement continued. “Although our path as a marriage is coming to an end, we continue to support each other, dedicated to our daughter, and committed to facing this transition with compassion.”
The statement concluded with a request for privacy. They asked for space to "move forward and focus on our individual paths" while keeping Vienna their "highest priority."
Brennon’s divorce documents express a hope for a "written agreement" with Alexa regarding Vienna’s custody and support.
Should an agreement be reached, Brennon requests the court to approve and adopt it as a court order. If no agreement is made, he asks the court to issue orders for Vienna’s guardianship, possession, access, and support.
The couple previously debated signing a prenuptial agreement during their time on Love Is Blind. They ultimately did not sign one.
"We never had one. I didn’t ask for it either," Alexa stated in a 2022 social media video. "It’s something Brennon mentioned and asked me to consider to protect me. I just wasn’t interested."
Brennon had been open to the idea at the time. He noted on a season 3 episode of Love Is Blind that Alexa earned more money.
"Do you want to write it? Just put whatever you want in that contract, and it’s fine. I’ll sign it," he said. He prioritized family life, stating, "My job is not my life. I want to be, like a coach, for my children."
