Vijay Shankar said after the match that I think we could have pursued the goal in a better way. We could have made the match closer. Vijay Shankar said if two of our batsmen had played well the result might have been different. We lost wickets at the wrong time. If we had had a 20- or 30-run partnership at intermissions, the game could have been much closer. Vijay Shankar expressed his hope that his team will do well in the second qualifier to be held in Ahmedabad.
He said that so far we have played a lot of cricket at home and at the opposing team’s grounds. It is related to adapting to circumstances as quickly as possible. In general, we are playing very good cricket. So one match won’t change much.
