In its centenary year, the Lions of the Escogido “dressed up in history” and presented their official uniforms for the 2021-22 season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League.
The scarlets showed the world their new clothing, through their channel “Entre Leones” on the Twitch platform, as well as on YouTube on the Escogido Baseball Club channel.
Eduardo Najri, vice president of Escogido, highlighted the motivations of the capital franchise for this year’s uniforms, which reflect a large part of the club’s best moments.
“We wanted to connect with the history of the team, that people when seeing them remember our best times and those great men who have worn this shirt, with the traditional red color standing out in each one of them,” he explained.
The long-haired ones presented a white home shirt that on the chest says Chosen in red letters, with the traditional typography, although redrawn in some lines. The “jersey” reflects great moments of the franchise, especially in the 1950s, 60s, 80s and 90s, where the Reds conquered their first 12 championships.
The visitor’s gray has a similar style to the white, which also honors the times of the Rojas Alou brothers, Juan Marichal, Gerónimo Berroa, Rufino Linares, among other great glories of the organization. This shirt also has the red lettering, giving a different touch to most of its type that were regularly black.
The red t-shirt, one of the alternatives that will be used on the route, has black letters and says Leones on the front, with the typography that the organization has used from 2009-10 to date, a section in which the inhabitants of the capital have been raised with four national crowns.
While the black alternative of home club also has the red letters, fulfilling the commitment of the organization that the red color stands out in each of the jackets.
