Video game fans are buzzing with news from Riot Games. The company just pulled back the curtain on new cosmetic looks for characters in its massive online game, League of Legends. These special skins celebrate T1, the team that conquered the Worlds 2024 championship.
T1 showed incredible skill, winning the most important League of Legends tournament two years in a row. They first took the title in 2023 and then defended it in 2024. Their latest big win came against China’s Bilibili Gaming in a thrilling final match.
One of T1’s star players, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, earned a unique honor. He was named the Most Valuable Player for the 2024 Worlds final. Because of this, Faker will receive two custom skins for his characters, a first for any player. This is a big deal in the gaming community.
Here are the champions getting new styles, picked by each T1 player:
- Sylas (Mid Lane) – Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
- Yone (Mid Lane) – Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
- Gnar (Top Lane) – Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
- VI (Jungle) – Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun
- Varus (Attack Damage Carry) – Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung
- Pyke (Support) – Ryu “Keria” Min-seok

It is worth noting that while Choi “Zeus” Woo-je won the 2024 championship with T1, he has since moved on. Zeus now plays for Hanwha Life Esports. These new skins are already available on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) for players to try out. They are set to hit the main game on September 10, arriving with update 25.18.
