LoL Isurus Signs Keine as New Mid Laner to Fight LTA Sul Relegation

The world of competitive gaming can be brutal. Teams constantly tweak their lineups, hoping to find that winning spark. Isurus Gaming, a well-known Latin American esports organization, just made a critical change.

They’ve brought in a new mid-laner, Kim “Keine” Joon-cheol, from South Korea. This move isn’t just a simple roster update. It’s a bold play to secure their spot in the LTA South league for 2026. This announcement came on Wednesday, September 3.

Keine previously played for Dignitas in LTA North, another top league in the Americas. Now, he’s switching regions to join Isurus. His first big test will be the upcoming LTA South Promotion Tournament.

Keine is stepping into the shoes of Francisco “Leza” Jara. Leza had only joined Isurus Gaming on June 25. He stayed for just one split, where the team finished in 7th or 8th place. During that same period, Isurus also brought in top laner Frankie “Zamudo” Lin. Zamudo will continue to be a key part of the main lineup.

Keine isn’t new to high-pressure situations. He played in Worlds 2024. Before that, he spent two splits in 2020 as a reserve player for SeolHaeOne Prince in the LCK, Korea’s top League of Legends league.

The LTA South Promotion Tournament is set to kick off on September 25. This event is crucial for Isurus and other teams hoping to earn a place in the 2026 season. Four other teams will compete. Alpha7 Esports is already confirmed to be one of those teams. Another Brazilian organization will join them, decided by a match on September 9 between IDL and Flamengo Esports. All eyes will now be on Keine to see if he can help his new team clinch their spot.
