Riot Games has relaunched its popular Great Essence Market in the online battle arena game League of Legends, allowing players to spend accumulated in-game currency on a range of exclusive cosmetic items until early 2026.
The market’s return is part of the game’s new 25.23 update, which also introduces a new champion, Zaahen, and brings back the festive Winter Map. Players can access the special store section starting November 19 and it will remain available until January 7, 2026.
Players utilize “Blue Essence” (EA) to make purchases within the market. This virtual currency is acquired through regular gameplay, leveling up accounts, and completing various in-game missions.
The Great Essence Market’s primary focus is offering a wide selection of chromas, which are alternative color schemes for existing character skins. The market also features other collectible items. These include mystery icons, mystery wards, and unique emotes.

A Mystery Icon can be purchased for 1,500 EA. Specialized Mini Mystery Icon Boxes, tied to various in-game regions, cost 2,500 EA each. Mystery Wards are available for 4,900 EA.
More expensive offerings include the “Great Essence Market 2023 Flag” for 250,000 EA. Exclusive titles like “Hand-Developed Account” and “Great Market Fan” are also priced at 250,000 EA each.
A rare Urfwick skin can be acquired for 150,000 EA. Various emotes are also available, such as “Money Bags” for 75,000 EA, “I Am Rich” for 50,000 EA, and “But Why?” for 25,000 EA.
The 25.23 update additionally brings general buffs, nerfs, and balance adjustments across the game’s roster of champions.
