Tom Hiddleston, the actor who plays Loki, played briefly in the series’ season 2 story. According to him, God of Mischief will go in search of one of the characters presented in the first season. Meanwhile, one of the show’s directors gives a handful of information about where Loki landed during the last episode.
Last month, Loki’s first season ended with an anthology episode. At the end of this moment of anguish, Disney + announced the beginning of a second season dedicated to the adventures of Variant Loki. For now, the release date, synopsis or cast of this second round of episodes is still being kept a secret.
Asked by our colleagues at Empire Magazine, Tom Hiddleston, Loki’s interpreter since Thor’s first film in 2011, quickly mentioned the 2nd season scenario. “I don’t think he’s going to stop looking [Sylvie] now”, assures Tom Hiddleston. The Asgardian God, therefore, will try to find the trail of his beloved. The last thing I hear is that this one is in the TVA creator’s castle, located in the center of the temporal flux, in the middle of everything, during the temporal apocalypse.
A director teases Loki in season 2
“He feels that this is something he did, a mistake he made, and that he is responsible for implementing it.”, continues the actor. According to him, Loki feels responsible for the disaster initiated by Sylvie at the end of the first season. Now closer to the anti-hero than the great evil, the God of lies will try to correct the situation.
In turn, Loki is stuck in an alternative version of VAT that fell under the yoke of Kang the Conqueror. Interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter, Kate Herron, director of the series, talks about the situation in the following terms: “VAT exists outside of space and time, but reality and everything we established has completely changed in the last few minutes. […] Sylvie is thinking about sending him back to VAT, but due to the way the weather and the branches crossed, unfortunately Loki was sent back to a very different place ”.
