To avoid a police check in Firminy (Loire) around 12:20 pm this Thursday, November 4, two individuals on motorcycles knocked down a police officer, injuring his leg. One of the fugitives was arrested by the Bac around 4 p.m. and taken into police custody.
Eager to carry out a check on two non-helmeted motorcyclists, and circulating without license plates, two CRS Sud-Est were the target of an attack on Thursday. Refusing to stop at this roadblock, the two delinquents charged at the two police officers on foot.
One of the two officials, a father of two, could not avoid the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries to his leg, according to France Bleu. Transported to the North hospital of Saint-Etienne in the wake, he is still hospitalized but his vital prognosis is not engaged.
18-year-old man arrested
One of the two men was arrested at 4 p.m. in the Romière district of Chambon-Feugerolles and taken into police custody. The 18-year-old has already been convicted of drug trafficking once.
An investigation for attempted homicide was opened by the prosecution of Saint-Etienne and entrusted to the departmental security of the Loire.
Cannabis bars found on site
Several cannabis resin bars were found at the scene of the incident, which constitutes a first lead explaining the attempted escape.
The motorcycle finally ended its race in a car parked nearby. The four occupants, including a baby, an 8-year-old girl and her mother, were taken to hospital for a check-up but no injuries were found.
