Astro A50 X: What does the new Astro flagship offer?
One of the central features of the headset is the Playsync technology used. With this, various consoles such as the Xbox Series X / S, Playstation 5 as well as PC and Mac can be connected to the headset’s base station at the same time. Playsync then makes it possible to switch between consoles and computers with just a single click on the headset. The gaming headset itself always remains connected to the base station – making constant reconnections between consoles and PC a thing of the past.
The base station also serves as an HDMI switch. The gaming sound is fed in via HDMI, while chat sound is transmitted via USB-C. This means that the volume of signals such as chat and game sounds can be adjusted individually.

The A50
As usual, Logitech’s professional wireless Lightspeed technology ensures perfect transmission. The headset also has a Logitech Lightspeed microphone (16 bit / 48 KHz), Logitech refers to this as a “full and clear microphone with broadcast quality”. You can adjust a variety of settings such as EQ settings using the Logitech G Hub gaming software on your PC or via the Logitech G app on your own iOS or Android device.
However, the new Astro flagship headset is not exactly cheap; you can buy the headset for 399 euros on the official Logitech website. It should also be available for purchase from dealers during the first half of 2024.
