CryptoZoo, a failed NFT project, has been at the center of controversy. Logan Paul, a well-known American YouTuber, actor, influencer, and professional boxer, is suing Coffeezilla, a YouTuber whose real name is Stephen Findeisen, for making false statements about the project.

Background on CryptoZoo

In 2023, CryptoZoo planned to launch a game based on animal NFTs, allowing users to purchase NFTs using the game’s cryptotoken, SOOO. Paul promoted the project extensively on his social media channels, generating significant hype. The project’s token, ZOO, initially dropped by 100 percent, with a market cap of $0 and a volume not exceeding $0.01.

Lawsuit Against Coffeezilla

Despite the project’s failure, Paul filed a defamation lawsuit against Coffeezilla on June 27, accusing Findeisen of making false statements about CryptoZoo. The lawsuit claims that Findeisen intentionally and recklessly disseminated defamatory falsehoods, causing significant damage to Paul’s reputation.

Logan Paul Believes Himself Innocent

Paul claims that Findeisen purposefully omitted information, pointing out his involvement but indicating that he was misled by trusted advisors who turned out to be scammers. Paul states that he had always intended to build a legitimate blockchain-based game, but the developers, Eduardo Ibanez and Jake Greenbaum, lied about their qualifications and prioritized personal profit over creating the project.

The lawsuit aims to hold Findeisen accountable for the damage caused to Paul’s reputation.
