LNB expresses regret for the death of Orlando Jorge Mera

The National Basketball League (LNB) and the presidents of its eight franchises expressed their sorrow at the death of Orlando Jorge Mera, who was the Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources.

On behalf of the executive committee of the League, President Antonio Mir said that “the country has lost a good man who throughout his life dedicated himself to working for the best interests of the country.”

Jorge Mera was 55 years old at the time of his death, which occurred in the building of the Ministry of the Environment. He was a great sports lover, especially baseball.

Mir and the LNB extend their condolences to the entire Jorge Mera family, including his wife Patricia Villegas, his sister Dilia Leticia and their children Orlando Salvador Jorge Villegas and Patricia Victoria Jorge Villegas.

The family of the first division circuit asks God to give strength and peace to the Jorge Mera family, in the face of such an irreparable loss.
