Llull's kind gesture with Ricky before the last European match

Some of Ricky Rubio’s teammates have remembered him these days after the serious injury he suffered against the Pelicans and that will leave him practically a year without being able to play basketball. The Catalan base will miss the EuroBasket with Spain and will have to look for a new contract without being able to endorse it on court until, surely, October or November. The last friend from the profession who wanted to pay tribute to the greatness of the Cavaliers manager was Sergio Llull during the preview of the match between Real Madrid and Bitci Baskonia in the Euroleague.

The television of the white club captured the arrival from Llull to the WiZink Center in Madrid with a t-shirt turned inside out and worn on top of his sweatshirt. It was Ricky’s when he played for the Timberwolves (first stage).

For Llull, a knee injury is a familiar trance. Hence, surely, that he wanted to offer his support to a teammate with whom he won the World Cup two years ago. Llull was injured precisely while playing a friendly with Spain, a rupture in the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee was the fault, and he returned eight months later to be key in the path of the madridistas to the last Euroleague they won, four seasons ago.

On his social networks, Llull wanted to endorse the gesture, recalling the phrase that always accompanies Ricky: “Never too high, never too low” (“Neither too high nor too low”).
