Liverpool offer Salah the best contract in their history

The Liverpool Negotiations have begun to convert Mohamed salah in the highest paid player in the history of the club. They will offer him a contract for four more years, fearful because he only has two more seasons left.

The Egyptian winger, who has become one of the most important players in the recent history of the club and one of the leaders of Jürgen Klopp’s project at Anfield Road, ends his contract with the club in summer 2023 and has a current contract of 233,000 euros a week. The player wants a substantial improvement in his salary to renew his bond and stay until the end of his time in the elite at the club.

The renewal, next objective in Anfield

The club’s sporting director, Michael Edwards, is working on the renewal of the squad for the coming seasons with the aim of shielding the base that gave him a new UEFA Champions League title and that made him lift his first Premier League. Virgil Van Djik, Alisson Becker and Trent Alexander Arnold were the first to extend their link with the institution.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool wants to extend Mohamed Salah’s contract for two more years (2025) in an agreement that would break records for the Merseyside club, which would keep the squad until 33 years of age and extend his stay in the Anfield club to eight years.

The only problem is that Salah’s age complicates the sustainability of the renovation, but the club does not want to lose him without receiving a good amount of money for him. The situation is complicated, but everything seems to indicate that the intention is to give him two more years with the best salary in the history of the club, although they did not give details about the amount of money per week he would earn.
