Remember to check your fridge. Leclerc has just recalled several batches of surimi crumbs and goat balls for suspected Listeria, warns the site rappel.conso.gouv.fr. The first product concerned are “Surimi crumbs – crab flavor (180g)” from the Pèche Océan brand. The recalled batches bear the GTIN code 3564700128091 and the health mark FR 14.738.042 CE. The expiry date written on the packaging is 20/06/2022 and “the times concerned are between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The time is identified on the product by the last 4 digits of the marking”, say the authorities.
The sign evokes a suspicion of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes (agent responsible for listeriosis). These potentially contaminated batches were marketed in the self-service department from 05/05/2022 to 05/12/2022 by the brand throughout France.
