Monday June 5, Jordan Bardella, president of the National Rally (RN) and MEP, was the guest of “4 Truths” on France 2. He first returned to the reframing made by Emmanuel Macron towards his Prime Minister, after the words held by Elisabeth Borne on the RN: “Emmanuel Macron is cynical when he comes to reframe his Prime Minister because she compares 42% of the French electorate to the heirs of Pétain, but he does not hesitate, during the in-between rounds of presidential campaign, to go for example to Oradour-sur-Glane (Haute-Vienne) (…), and to try to exploit the dramas that we have known in our history, and in particular during the Second World War, to smear a political movement.”
“I am not sectarian”
Jordan Bardella then suggested that RN deputies could vote for a motion of censure from La France insoumise (LFI) if the party were to table one. “I am not sectarian”he said, before specifying: “We will read it first, before voting on it.” Asked about the forthcoming submission of a parliamentary report from the commission of inquiry into foreign interference, which accuses the RN of having been the “drive belt” of Russian power, Jordan Bardella assured: “Our integrity is total. The day the RN takes its orders and determines its political vision according to foreign interests, I think we will have to stop politics.”
