The digital whistles have blown, and the real competition has officially begun! After four trial rounds, where managers tested their top picks from the Primeira Liga, the 31st season of Liga Record is now live. It’s time to stop warming up; the fight for the season’s biggest prizes is on.
Every team now starts with a clean slate. Managers begin scoring points for the overall leaderboard. At the end of it all, the top “sofa coach” will drive away in a brand-new car. The manager who finishes in second place will also get a shiny new scooter, just like in past seasons. Plus, each week, the 30 best managers will split cash prizes from a total pool of 50,000 euros for the season.
When the first matches kick off today, 23,324 competitors will be glued to their screens. These managers have set up an incredible 39,679 teams. They will carefully follow every play, searching for the perfect players for each round. To make sure your team scores points this round, you must finalize your roster by 6:15 PM today. That’s two hours before the games begin. The same rule applies to any player changes you want to make. If you make a substitution after the deadline, it won’t count until the next round. Of course, this assumes you don’t change your team again before then!
If you’re still putting your dream team together, don’t sweat it. We’ve put together a quick guide to some of the most valuable players in each position. You can build a winning squad by picking a few of these big names and mixing them with some hidden gems. This strategy will help you fight for those weekly prizes in what promises to be an epic season.

Last season’s champion, Paulo Silva from Pataias, showed everyone how it’s done. He took home the top prize, setting a high bar for this year’s hopefuls.
