Club Atlético Licey celebrated the Three Kings Day in style with various activities and an emotional act, as is customary for the institution that recently celebrated 115 years of glory and tradition.
With a donation of half a million pesos, delivered to the National Cancer Institute, Rosa Emilia Sánchez Pérez de Tavarez (INCART) and a Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium packed with hundreds of children from different parts of the country, was celebrated this Sunday, January 8, 2023, the traditional Three Kings Day.
With the delivery of the check to the aforementioned institution, the glorious blue team covers and sponsors the treatment of three children diagnosed with this disease.
Licey makes this donation as a result of the visit of the players, Ronny Mauricio, Jean Carlos Mejía and Arodys Vizcaíno, as well as the general manager, Audo Vicente, who shared with the children and smiles of happiness were drawn on their faces when they saw their players and receiving a warm hug from them, Carlos Mejía, Cristopher Santana and Rosse Pillier, were sponsored by the Licey to support their treatment.
"We as a team have a great social responsibility and it is permanently in our ideals and our objectives to be able to help causes like these. It is a pride to be part of this initiative that will significantly impact the lives of three children."said the president of the club, Ricardo Ravelo Jana.
The patients of said medical center were represented by their parents and the donation was received by the Director of the aforementioned hospital, Dr. José Ramírez, whose delivery was made by Ravelo Jana and the first lady, Doña Lill Español de Ravelo, who were accompanied by the players César Valdez, Jairo Asencio, Esmil Rogers, Vizcaíno and Mauricio, who also served as honorary receiver.
After the emotional act, Dr. Ramírez proceeded to launch the first ball to close with a flourish what was a spectacular and joyous afternoon, with the presence of the Three Wise Men giving away toys, hundreds of children from different leagues children, who tasted cotton candy, popcorn, Frutop juices, Kola Real, Chocowow cookies, face painting, etc. for the enjoyment of all the fans who attended the stadium.
