Libya: 23 fighters working for ISIS sentenced to death

Tunisia: 23 people who worked for ISIS in Libya were sentenced to death and 14 were sentenced to life imprisonment.

A foreign news agency According to the report According to the court order, all the accused have been found involved in the murder of several people in the year 2015, a Libyan court sentenced these people for joining the ‘Islamic State’ group and committing atrocities in its name.

In 2015, a group of rebels beheaded foreigners staying at a hotel in Tripoli and captured the city of Sirat. Later those who rebelled against the state were arrested and tried.

It should be noted that not only the offices of foreign companies are located in the mentioned hotel in Tripoli, but most of the foreigners in the city stay in this hotel. Apart from this, foreign diplomats and government officials also visit here regularly.

Al-Wasat newspaper reported that some of the suspects came to Libya from Syria, Tunisia and Sudan, all fighters were arrested during an international coalition operation in late 2016.
