Lewis Hamilton calls himself useless after Hungary F1 qualifying P12.

Even the greatest champions hit rough patches. But rarely do they sound as defeated as Lewis Hamilton did this Saturday. The seven-time world champion, known for his incredible success, seemed truly disheartened. His comments came after a disappointing qualifying session for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Hamilton finished in 12th place on the grid. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari grabbed pole position for the race. The Briton did not hold back when speaking to Sky Sports. He pointed the finger only at himself, not his team.

“It’s always me who’s the problem,” Hamilton stated. “Yes, I’m useless. Completely useless. The team has no issues at all. Just look, a car is on pole, right? They should probably just get a new driver.”

This 12th-place finish marks a negative first for Hamilton. He had always made it into Q3 at the Hungaroring track. Until today, that is.
