Lenovo’s new flagship smartphone has one attribute in common with the upcoming Moto X40 flagship

At least two new major smartphones from the Lenovo and Motorola brands are on their way to market.

The manufacturer is committed to premium models that have in common the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip from Qualcomm, not yet announced.

Lenovo owns Motorola, but while it also makes its own brand smartphones, it manages Motorola as an independent brand. The winner is the market that receives the new Lenovo and Motorola smartphones.

And soon, lo and behold, more new models will hit the market, one from each brand and with something in common: the new (and not yet announced) Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. But let’s start with the Motorola Moto X40.

This terminal will be the base model of Motorola’s top series, known in Europe as Edge, and according to rumors it could be the most affordable terminal equipped with Qualcomm’s latest generation chip. Unfortunately, no specific values for the price of the model were advanced.

The Moto X40’s passage through the 3C certification website revealed that it comes with support for fast charging of “only” 68 watts. It is quite possible that the most advanced model in the series will provide the fastest support.

Previously, the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station had also anticipated that the Moto X40 will integrate a screen with Full HD + resolution and a primary sensor with 50 megapixel resolution.

New Lenovo ThinkPhone could be the model known as Motorola Bronco

But Lenovo may also launch a new ThinkPhone model later this year. According to the most recently released information, everything indicates that the new terminal will be the model hitherto known as Motorola Bronco.

Possibly, this smartphone has passed into the ranks of Lenovo, although it has begun its development process within the “family” of Motorola. Renderings shown on the web world show that the model has the word ThinkPhone embossed on the lower right corner of the back panel.

And the good news is that this will also be a top model, reaching the market with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip at the controls and with up to 12GB of RAM.

The new ThinkPhone will also have a screen with Full HD + resolution, but with a very high refresh rate of 165 Hz.

On the rear panel will be the triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel sensor, complemented by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide and a macro sensor with a resolution of two megapixels.

All rumors point to Lenovo ThinPhone and Motorola Moto X40 terminals hitting the market, at least in China, later this year, just after Qualcomm’s announcement of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
