Simeone finished the week in the Cerro consolidating the idea that he suspects for his team with a view to the return of LaLiga, after the selection break. And it is that in the last session before playing against Betis this Sunday (9:00 p.m., DAZN) he tried again with an eleven in which Lemar was and not De Paul, who had been a starter in the last games before the break reversing the whistles with which the fans received him after the World Cup in Qatar. Some games in which the Argentine is showing his best version.
But De Paul comes from playing two games with Argentina in this break and his place at Atlético against Betis will be occupied by Lemar, who has worked under Cholo in Majadahonda these two weeks. With the absence of Reinildo and Memphis, both injured and with a Reguilón who completed part of the session with the group although it will not yet be available for tomorrow’s game.
An eleven with variants
The eleven with which Simeone tried again was made up of Oblak; Nahuel, Savic, Giménez, Hermoso, Carrasco; Llorente, Koke, Lemar; Griezmann and Morata, which will mean the return of the last to eleven five games later. Simeone, however, made variations in the session, which opens a door to possible surprises: Correa entered Morata’s place for a few minutes.
