Legacy Makes History with First International CS2 Title, $400K Win

Brazilian esports organization Legacy claimed its first international Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) championship, overcoming a two-map deficit to defeat 3DMAX in a thrilling 3-2 final at the CS Asia Championship on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

The team’s dramatic comeback secured the organization’s first Tier A title and a prize of $400,000. The victory marks a significant milestone for Legacy in the global CS2 competitive scene.

Bruno “latto” Rebelatto was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the competition. He also led the final series in kills, tallying 82 across the five maps played.

In the best-of-five grand final, Legacy initially took a 1-0 lead on Nuke. However, French squad 3DMAX responded by winning Dust2 and Inferno, putting Legacy on the brink with a 2-1 disadvantage.

Legacy demonstrated resilience, led by Lucas “lux” Meneghini, to force a decider. The Brazilian team secured victories on Train and Ancient to complete the 3-2 reverse sweep and clinch the championship.

The victory capped a memorable day for Brazilian CS2 fans. Also on October 19, fellow Brazilian team FURIA won the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 against NaVi.
