Ledger adds DeFi tracking feature to Ledger Live

Ledger, the well-known hardware wallet manufacturer, announced on December 13 that it has entered into a partnership with Merlin, a decentralized finance (DeFi) portfolio tracker. This gives more than five million Ledger users access to the DeFi performance analytics that Merlin provides.

DeFi portfolio tracker

Using Merlin, users of Ledger Live, Ledger’s app, can connect to over 1,000 DeFi protocols across 10 different blockchain networks. Users can view performance statistics, profit and loss reports, gas consumption reports and calculated revenues.

Elie Azzi, co-founder and chief product officer from Merlin, said the following about how all this data will help crypto investors:

“It is a challenge for them to collect all their trading data without connecting multiple times to each individual platform, which can expose them to risk.”

In addition, Azzi indicated that the major hacks and scandals of the current bear market have illustrated how important crypto’s core value, decentralization, really is:

“There has never been a stronger argument for DeFi and for open, transparent and trustworthy solutions, upon which crypto has always been fundamentally built.”

The new feature also allows crypto investors to claim liquidity provider fees and rewards directly from the interface.

New hardware wallet

The hardware wallet maker is anything but idle at the moment. For example, you could read last week that Ledger will launch a new hadware wallet in the first quarter of 2023. In addition to the Ledger Nano S Plus and the Ledger Nano X, investors will be able to purchase the Ledger Stax in a few months.

For the Ledger Stax, the company has partnered with Tony Fadell, the well-known maker of Apple’s iPod. With the Ledger Stax, the hardware wallet manufacturer hopes to bring to market a more stylish and functional device that can win mass adoption among crypto users.

The exterior of the hardware wallet is a wraparound E-ink touchscreen that can display transaction details and even non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The latest model will be for sale for €279.00.
