LeBron James to Lead USA at Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony
Washington D.C. – The United States Olympic delegation has announced that basketball legend LeBron James has been chosen to lead the expedition during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. The ceremony will take place on Friday, 26th, around the Seine River, at 7:30 p.m.
James, a four-time Olympic player representing the Los Angeles Lakers, has been selected to carry the US flag, representing more than 350 American athletes who will participate in the Games. He was chosen through a USOPC Athletes’ Commission Voting Process, where over 500 members participated, selecting him as the best representative to lead the team.
"It’s an incredible honor to represent the United States on this global stage, especially at a time that can unite the entire world," James said in a statement.
