The oldest building in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) is looking for a new buyer. And quite surprisingly because it is on the Leboncoin free classifieds site that this exceptional property is for sale.
Located not far from the Old Port, in the 2nd arrondissement, this private mansion, listed as a historic monument, was built in 1535 for the consul Louis de Cabre.
1.2 million euros
To afford this house with an area of 223 m², marketed by the agency Radisson Real Estate, it will cost 1.2 million euros.
Also called the House of the Alderman of Cabre, the Hôtel de Cabre was spared in 1943 by the Nazis when the alleys on the north shore of the Old Port were destroyed.
Twelve years later, in 1954, the house was moved one block over nearly 15m, and turned 90 degrees to align with the Grand Rue.
three apartments and a studio
In detail, the building, raised on 4 floors, consists of a cellar in the basement and a room of 66 m² on the ground floor, completed by a storage in the basement, indicates the announcement.
There are also three apartments of 50m² and a studio of 23m². These units are currently all occupied by tenants.
Alice Robert, of the Radisson Immobilier agency, told West France that this property ended up on the Leboncoin platform “for visibility”.
“The popularity of the site makes it possible to reach many more people,” she told our colleagues. Sometimes there are goods for sale on the site that are worth several million euros ”.
